You never pay Layout to browse a menu, build a cart, or check on an order. When Layout actually places an order for you at a restaurant, a small fee is added to your monthly tab.

Never more than 75¢
The fee is 3.5% of your food subtotal, with a minimum of $0.40 and a maximum of $0.75. Small orders pay the 40 cent minimum, large orders pay the 75 cent maximum, and no order ever costs more than that no matter how big it gets. The fee is calculated on food only, never on the restaurant's tax or the restaurant's own delivery and service fees.

One charge a month
When you order, your card is charged by the restaurant for your food in real time. The Layout fee is not part of that charge. It goes onto a running tab instead, and once a month we bill that tab as a single separate charge. If your tab is under $5 at the end of the month, we do not charge you at all. It rolls over to the next month.

Check your tab anytime
Open Settings, then Account, then Billing to see your current tab and any account credit. If an order gets refunded, we void the fee if we have not billed it yet, or credit it back to you if we have.

Layout One removes it
Layout One is $4.99 a month and covers all agentic ordering fees. If you subscribe partway through a month, we comp what you have already accrued. Cancel anytime, and the comp ends at your next billing period.
